Maine career school has long history of successfully training those who served.

Scarborough, ME | PR Web – As a Veteran’s Administration (VA) GI Bill ® approved career school with programs in the medical, IT, HVAC/R and Commercial Driving , Northeast Technical Institute (NTI) employs many instructors who can relate to and help support students with current or past military service. NTI’s staff and instructors understand the special circumstances and needs of veterans.

In 2010, NTI President James Liponis was nominated for ‘Employer Patriot Award’. Mr. Liponis humbly accepted the award in January 2010.     “We have a long history of doing all that we can at our school for those who have served in the military, both students and employees”, says Mr. Liponis. “I can think of no higher calling than protecting our country’s freedom and rewarding those who answer that call. It’s a genuine privilege to help them in any way that we can.”

NTI prepares student veterans for careers in highly employable fields like: Commercial Driving, Computer (IT) Careers, Allied Medical Careers, HVAC/R – all in just weeks or months rather than years. VA veterans’ education benefit programs include the Post-9/11 GI Bill ® (Chapter 33), the Montgomery GI Bill ®-Active Duty (Chapter 30), Montgomery GI Bill ® – Selected Reserve (Chapter 1606) and the Reserve Educational Assistance Program (REAP).

The staff at NTI is knowledgeable regarding access to all of these benefits to make the student transition into school seamless. Throughout the student’s training program, NTI’s Career Development   team works with students to prepare them for a new career including regular workshops in resume development, interview skills, and job search strategies, along with externships and employer referrals.

A sampling of recent veteran graduates who are now working in their chosen new fields are:
