Typical Duties: A Day in the Life of a Medical Lab Assistant

Professionals in this position often analyze body tissue and fluid samples taken from patients. MLA's are responsible for making chemical solutions and stocks of culture media, sterilizing equipment, labelling and sorting tissue samples, operating equipment and using computer programs to analyze test results.
