Northeast Technical Institute Plans to Launch a New Learning Management System
For each of our programs, we’re confident that we have the best curricula in our industry, taught by dedicated and knowledgeable instructors. But, the third piece of the puzzle is the learning management system.
A learning management system is a software application for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting, and delivery of educational courses or training programs. In simpler terms, it’s the way in which our courses are organized and delivered. It’s the system students use to learn.
We are excited to announce that we are in the process of launching a brand new learning management system called Canvas LMS. We’re always looking to improve our students’ experiences, and we believe a shift to Canvas LMS is an important next step. Canvas LMS is modern and user friendly, which will allow greater flexibility, creativity, and student engagement. It’s simply a better way to learn.
Our Learning Management System Administrator, Laura Vitanza, recently attended InstructureCon, Canvas LMS’s annual convention, in Keystone, CO, to learn more about Canvas LMS and plan for its launch at Northeast Technical Institute. Laura attended a number of sessions at the conference to better understand the benefits of the new system and networked with colleagues to hear their experiences. Canvas LMS is used by colleges and universities across the country, including Ivy League institutions, and we’re confident it will be the right choice for our students.
