NTI Scarborough campus has officially been accepted to begin our American Medical Technologists Student Society. We held our first meeting on May 15th. We have a couple goals in mind for our chapter. The first being raising money for an AED for the campus. This will be a big undertaking but we thought we would start with a bake sale first, and possibly look into selling NTI Candy Bars. We will also need to schedule a Wellness Day which we could do early this summer. I encourage every student to join the chapter. Membership is free and AMT is a widely respected certification in allied health. To join the chapters please go to http://www.americanmedtech.org/Schools.aspx . Look to lower right and click on “Resources” and then click on Student Resources and then Student Membership. Please see me should you have any questions maneuvering around the website. This is also an awesome addition to your resume!
We are implementing a new course replacing “Principles of Health,” called, “Electronic Medical Record.” This is a fantastic course offering as it gives allied health students the experience they need, working on an actual electronic medical record. This particular medical record is in actual use in many offices. We are so excited about this and more information will be following shortly!
The campus will be closed on Monday, May 26th in observance of Memorial Day!
Schneider Recruiter Frank Sinclair will be at the Scarborough Yard (4 Ginn Rd) on Wednesday May 28th at noon.
