Over the July Fourth holiday, students at our Bangor campus collected food donations for the Shepherd’s Godparent Home in Bangor. And, the cupcakes were enjoyed by all.
The Student Leadership Council recognized the good work of the home and looked to help. The Shepherd’s Godparent Home is a crisis center located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Bangor that houses young women in their teens to thirties who are pregnant and in crisis. Beyond that, the home helps prepare women for life when they leave the home. It’s a great partnership for Northeast Technical Institute.
The Student Leadership Council, with the help of the instructors and student services, collected canned and dried foods for donation, and Northeast Technical Institute also made a financial donation.
A special thank you to Barbara Ford, Shepherd’s Godparent Home Director, who took the time to provide a tour to the Northeast Technical Institute representatives when the donation was presented.
