If you ask any of our students, one of the things they enjoy most about their time at Northeast Technical Institute is the people they meet. Other students become family. And, beyond that, they want to share that same feeling with the community around them. They want to ensure that they’re good neighbors, and the Student Leadership Council in Lewiston is doing just that.
From August 1 to August 17, the Student Leadership Council in Lewiston will be collecting donations for The Store Next Door at the Lewiston campus at 20 East Avenue. The Store Next Door provides educational support to students and families while their housing is unstable and unpredictable. Liaisons in Lewiston’s public school system work to help keep students successfully enrolled and attending school. Along with enrollment support, the Store Next Door helps provide basic needs, including clothing, toiletries, hygiene items, access to a food pantry, and school supplies. It’s a great program, and the Student Leadership Council wanted to jump in and help.
Donations will be accepted from August 1 to August 17, and the items needed are new or gently-used “teenager approved” clothing and shoes, toiletries, non-perishable food items, gift cards for fast food or groceries, and school supplies. Items may be dropped off at the Northeast Technical Institute campus in the Lewiston Mall. The Student Leadership Council appreciates your support.
