It was a last minute decision to leave my job of 9 years to go back to school. Extremely nervous and second guessing my choice to go back, I scheduled a tour for NTI Scarborough. The previously stressful process of getting “all my ducks in a row” to even find out if I could afford to–as well as meet the prerequisites in time–to enroll in school was met with ease thanks to extremely helpful, friendly, knowledgeable staff that supported my decision. They also supported me through the entire process and entire course, including post- graduation job placements and questions.
I had applied to Pottles Transportation in Bangor thinking that I didn’t stand a chance of getting in. They called and offered me a job. I am now employed by them and am thrilled to be a part of such an awesome team. H. O. Wolding had also offered me a job. It was a tough decision but chose the made in Maine company. Thank you to everyone on the NTI team for such a wonderful and positive experience.
The Medical Office Assistant program was exactly what I was looking for. In the meantime, I also wanted to work part time while I attended school. What I liked most about the pharmacology course was learning what I was applying in the workplace. The two coincided with each other, which worked perfectly for me as I could use what I learned in school in the pharmacy and vice versa. All in all, it was a win for me. The instructors go above and beyond to help you achieve your goal. I was never left to wonder or figure things out on my own, if I had questions. They provided all the necessary resources for success. It was up to me to use them to my fullest potential.
I graduated from the Network Administration & Design Program at NTI. Before NTI, I was doing massage therapy for about 20 years. It was really taking a physical toll on my body, so I knew that I had to stop. I’d always had a passion for working with computers, so when I decided I was going to go back to school, I knew it was going to have to be for computer technology. About three weeks before I graduated, the people at NTI came to me and told me that they had this great opportunity as a service desk technician at Thrive Network, and a couple days after that I had the job. I started working right after I graduated.
Prior to coming to NTI, I got out of military. I was working as a mechanic and in retail, but I was looking for a career that would support my family. I pursued the medical assistant program because of the availability of jobs and the stability of the career. After about 6 months at NTI, I left with a national certification for clinical medical assisting. What I liked best about NTI was that the instructors provided a professional, real-world training environment and an excellent education.
I first looked at a local community college, however, the waitlist was longer than I wanted. A friend of mine had told me about NTI, and that they were continually accepting students and that there was no waitlist. The minute I finished I accepted a full time position. I was offered a job before I was done my externship.
How was I going to have time to work enough to cover everything and go to school? This was terrifying and it often held me back. I just didn’t know where to start. At first, I was hesitant because I thought: “Could this really be for me?” I stopped worrying about “what if”, and just pursued. I was very impressed when they informed me that NTI allows you to have a flex schedule. I would be able to keep my job while going to school. The classes were informational, easy to follow, and always rewarding. I truly feel that NTI prepared me with skills I could use to succeed. Utilizing all the skills that NTI has taught me, enabled me to follow through after my interview, and I was offered a position. I accepted and am proud to say I am currently a Clinical Medical Assistant to amazing providers and staff at Intermed Internal Medicine in Portland. Thanks to NTI and my family I am more confident. I am more educated. And, I am happy in my career that will continue to reward me for a lifetime.
I am very thankful for NTI. I have really enjoyed being able to learn at my own pace, but never felt alone because the instructors are wonderful and always had my back. I got my Medical Coding and Billing program completed in 9 months, and I am now well on my way to the career I’ve been working for!
One of the best decisions which I have taken for getting training with NTI ,Bangor, ME . This is the best opportunity for me to build up my confidence , my carrier and knowledge. The training given to us as one to one. This type of training is most important for health care personal and beginners. I feel like a family member ever since I started my course . I am always thankful to NTI administrators and Instructors. They are very much helpful and caring. My special thanks to volunteering for blood draws. Last but not least my thanks to all my colleagues for cordial and friendly atmosphere. Thank you one and all.
NTI was a great experience for me. I loved learning all the new medical information and my class was just really fun to be a part of. I’m excited to get into an actual phlebotomy as soon as I can.
NTI was very accommodating for me, I struggle hard with learning. It was important to me that they made sure I knew it was important to me, that they made sure I knew it was okay to ask questions when I had them. They encourage you ask questions anytime. Joe, Nicole, Tyler and Abby are always available to answer questions about enrollment, financial aid, and will sit down with you through the process. Everyone at NTI want to see you succeed no matter how much you doubted yourself before you started.
